About the WPPC of MA

Our Mission

Our Goals

  • Promote interest in attending the United States Military Academy (USMA).

  • Enhance the image of the United States Military Academy in the local area.

  • Provide a means of communication between the Academy and cadet parents.

  • Provide fellowship among parents whose sons or daughters are undergoing a rigorous military training program.

Club Services

Social Events

  • Hail and Farewell: Welcome Cadet Candidates and their families at a send-Off event

  • Tame the Beast: Host mid-Cadet Basic Training social for families of New Cadets

  • Host Boodle Bashes for Parents of Plebes, Yearlings, Cows and Firsties

  • Family Weekend Tailgate: Host a post-game tailgate party for MA Cadets and their families and friends (including other cadets)

Resources and Family Support

  • Reserve blocks of rooms at convenient hotels for special events (America’s Game)

  • Promote support of West Point team/club events (e.g. crew team at Head of the Charles)

  • Hold multiple General Meetings each year to discuss operations, appropriations, etc.

  • Maintain a website to provide 24/7 access to helpful info relative to WPPC-MA and USMA

  • Maintain the WPPC-MA Facebook Group that serves as a forum for members to ask questions, share advice, photos, and more, while providing official updates

  • Provide members with functional and fashionable name tags to be worn at West Point-related events

Cadet Support

  • Provide comfortable bus transportation to and from West Point for cadets (at discounted rates for members)

  • Present special gifts to First Class Cadets

  • Deliver Boodle Boxes for Cadets

  • Partner with and support the West Point Society of New England and its initiatives

  • Publish congratulatory ads in The Howitzer Yearbook and in the Holly Ball Program recognizing MA Firsties

  • Every fifth year organizes the New England All Service Academy Holly Ball
